The image above shows post testing on new bulkheads on one of our latest emergency calls on a 90-gallon mixed reef system. After moving their beloved saltwater aquarium to the Austin Texas region, sand and detritus settled into the bulkhead seals and caused leaks at the bulkheads. The client also over tightened and damaged one of the bulkheads, in hopes of stopping the leak, so it had to be cut out. The client chose to have brand new bulkheads, seals, and overflow tubing installed because of the age of the originals.
